Taft is a pleasure to sew, thanks to its smooth surface and stable plain weave. This fabric is not stretchy, which gives you excellent control when cutting and stitching, along with lovely shape retention. Because it has a fairly structured drape, it is ideal for designs that need a little volume or definition. We recommend using a fine needle such as a Microtex needle to avoid damaging the weave. Finish the seams neatly on the inside with an overlocker or zigzag stitch so the fabric continues to look its best.
