Looking for a reliable thread for elastic sewing projects? Amann Seraflex 130m #1147 Tamarack is a smart choice for seams that need to move with the fabric. This elastic sewing thread is ideal for sportswear, underwear, children’s clothes and any project made with stretchy fabrics.

With around 65% stretch, Seraflex gives you excellent seam elasticity. That means you can sew strong, flexible seams with a standard straight stitch, without needing complicated special seams. It makes sewing easier and helps you achieve a comfortable, professional finish.

The thread is made from 100% PTT (polytrimethylene terephthalate) and is OEKO-TEX® certified. It can be washed at 60°C. Tamarack is a natural, warm shade that blends beautifully into many fabrics and gives your makes a neat, refined look.

For best results, we recommend using a needle size 70–80 and keeping the thread tension as loose as possible. Wind the bobbin with low tension too, so the thread keeps its elasticity. A test swatch will help you find the ideal settings for your project.
