Heavy Canvas Waxet Crème is a robust, hard-wearing cotton canvas fabric by the metre with a calm, matte finish and a timeless cream shade. The blend of 65% cotton and 35% polyester gives you the breathable feel of cotton with the extra durability of polyester, making it a practical choice for projects that need strength and structure. With a width of 145 cm and a weight of 480 g, this is a heavy dressmaking fabric that holds its shape beautifully.

Strong, versatile and made to last

This canvas is ideal when you need a fabric with real body. It works particularly well for bags, jackets, coats, dungarees and cushions, as well as other interior projects where a firmer finish is useful. The fabric has little give, so it is less suited to soft drape, but excellent for designs that need to keep their form.

If you are sewing with heavier layers, a sturdy jeans or canvas needle is a sensible choice. To keep the colour and matt surface looking their best, wash at 30 degrees, do not bleach, do not tumble dry, steam if needed, and avoid hot ironing. The fabric is also Oeko-Tex certified, giving you extra peace of mind for your sewing projects.
