Kari Petrol faux leather is a versatile dressmaking fabric and upholstery fabric with a subtle, realistic leather-look surface. The textured finish gives your projects extra character, while the nonwoven construction and 385 g/m² weight provide a firm feel that is still easy to work with. It has enough body for neat results without feeling overly stiff, making it a practical choice for a wide range of sewing projects.

At 0.95 mm thick, this faux leather is robust but still suitable for a regular sewing machine. For the best result, use a Microtex needle rather than a leather needle. It is made from 100% polyester and has a width of 140 cm, so you can plan your fabric by the metre projects with ease.

This fabric is ideal for jackets, bags, cushions and statement pieces for your home, caravan or camper. It is also a great choice for cosplay. The rich petrol colour works beautifully on its own, or alongside other shades from the Kari range if you want to mix and match for a bold effect.

To keep your project looking its best, hand wash only, do not bleach, do not tumble dry and do not iron hot. Steaming is allowed. Wipe marks away promptly with a dry cloth or absorbent paper so the surface stays protected.
